STRIVE TO SUCCEED

Being successful takes knowledge. Knowledge of current trends and changes in all aspects of operating a retail business and of the wider economy. We understand our members’ time is precious, so we have developed education courses that are delivered in a variety of formats to ensure you have the skills and tools necessary to succeed in business.

From business planning and finance, to marketing and merchandising, members get to choose what’s right for their needs from our wide range of training workshops and courses. And they get to choose how they want it delivered; face to face or online, bite size or big chunks!

Certificate in Retail Operations

The Certificate in Retail Operations strives to fill the competency gap in retail operations, equipping participants with the education and skills to overcome the challenges inherent in starting or advancing their careers in the retail industry. This 14-week program is broken up into seven topic areas (2 weeks in length), each representing the 7 Behaviors of Retail Excellence (Startup, Retail Accounting, Marketing and Advertising, Merchandising and Inventory Management, HR Management, LP and Security, and Business Planning). Classes can be taken individually or as a course of study. To contact us for more information click here, or click here to register.

STRIVE Workshops

STRIVE workshops have been created monthly and are available at no cost to members ($15 non-members) on topics of interest for today’s retailers and other small businesses. These 1 hr 15 min workshops are held in-person at Retail Alliance headquarters with live stream and recording capabilities.

Subject Matter Experts share their expertise and advice, with participants provided at least three things they can implement right away in their businesses.

Topics are designed to be focused, timely and practical, frequently coming from the suggestions of our members.

STRIVE Loss Prevention Workshops

STRIVE Loss Prevention are meetings that welcome both retailers and law enforcement to come together to discuss and share information regarding retail loss prevention and associated topics. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday and are open to members and guests, and include a complimentary lunch. The guest speakers discuss topics relating to counterfeiting, disaster preparedness, security, gang awareness, vendor theft, store layout, and more.

We aspire to contribute every day to your success.
