November kicks off the open enrollment season for healthcare across Virginia. It can be a stressful and expensive time for many people who are trying to get the most out of their insurance premiums in a short time frame. For small business owners, the cost of group plans can be prohibitive. Enrollment at your area charitable clinics is always open — and it’s free.
The HELP Clinic in Hampton, Lackey Clinic in Yorktown, and Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic in Gloucester are members of the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (VAFCC) and offer primary medical and dental care to qualified patients. Your uninsured employees —even those who have medical, but not dental coverage—can benefit from quality, affordable care with board-certified providers at our clinics. The Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic is licensed to treat Medicaid patients as well.
For patients who meet residency and income requirements, the benefits of healthcare at your area charitable clinics are tremendous:
- referrals to specialists
- free and low-cost medications
- chronic condition management
Patients who have a “healthcare home” are able to quickly access the care that will keep them healthy and coming to work. A small contribution (between $10–$25 per visit on average) is requested to protect the valuable time of our health care providers, but no patient is denied care for inability to donate.
Your area clinics are here to partner with your business, providing your employees with high quality medical and dental care at little to no cost. For more information, please contact:
