Discover Retail Alliance
A common question asked by our members is, “How can I get the most out of my membership?” Throughout the year we invite new and existing members to join us for a complimentary lunch and presentation by the RA team on the benefits of joining Retail Alliance.
Loss Prevention Meeting
Loss Prevention Task Force is a committee of retailers and law enforcement that come together to discuss and share information regarding retail loss prevention and associated topics. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday and are open to members and guests, and include a complimentary lunch. The guest speakers discuss topics relating to counterfeiting, disaster preparedness, security, gang awareness, vendor theft, store layout, and so on.
Each year we hold an open house for our members and friends at our headquarters in Norfolk. Food and beverages are provided and it’s a great opportunity to meet fellow members and the RA team. It’s a great time of the year to take care of some holiday shopping with our silent auction featuring a fine assortment of donated items. Proceeds from the silent auction benefit our advocacy efforts through the Virginia Retail Federation.
Retail Breakfast Club (RBC)
Our quarterly Retail Breakfast Club is your opportunity to network, enjoy a full buffet breakfast, and be inspired by local and national speakers. Exhibitor tables are available and sponsorship opportunities for tabletop marketing.
Retail Meet and Greets (RMG)
Our popular evening (and sometimes morning!) networking events are hosted by Retail Alliance members throughout the region to bring together our members and other business owners to relax, network and visit some unique venues. The host receives exposure through social media, direct mail, email and website event promotion.
Retailer of the Year
Typically held in May, this special annual event is a celebration of the retail industry. It is a night we raise a glass to congratulate those who have demonstrated the passion to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit of retail.
Retail Think Tank (PEG)
Exclusive to members, this peer exchange group enables like-minded owners to come together to discuss and explore a wide range of important common ground issues facing them in a confidential and trusted environment. Peer exchange groups work on the principle that, by providing an honest exchange of ideas and experiences, participants can increase their success potential in their professional and personal lives. Groups that work well offer their members an unequaled source of information, ideas and, when needed, support. Limited to 8-10 participants. Trust and consistency, using a “Master Mind” process, has made this offering a huge value.
